Here's a simple and powerful way to build a groundswell in Congress to create the Department of Peace!

We here in NY State have 29 Congressional Districts. This number lends itself to utilizing the monthly calendar in a useful way. It goes like this:

On the day of the month that matches your CD number, simply call your House Representative and Senators and ask them to co-sponsor and support the Department of Peace bill.

Senate bill S1756

Senator Schumer (202-224-6542)
Senator Clinton (202-224-4451)

Those living in Congressional District 1 will call their House Representative and Senators Schumer (202-224-6542) and Clinton (202-224-4451) on the 1st of the month and ask them to co-sponsor and support the Department of Peace bill (House bill HR3760, Senate bill S1756). On the 2nd day of the month C.D. #2 constituents call Congress requesting the same. On the 3rd day, C.D. #3 calls.And so it goes throughout the month. When the first of the month comes around again, C.D. #1 begins the cycle all over again.

Exceptions:
• if your day falls on a Saturday, you call on Friday.
• if your day falls on Sunday, you call on Monday.
• on the 30th and 31st of the month, EVERYBODY CALLS!!
Think of it as a little Peace Angel calling every month to remind our Members of Congress that we, the voting public, vigorously support the creation of the Department of Peace!

Think of the numbers:
Our Senators are hearing from at least one person EVERY DAY about the Department of Peace. (And at the end of the month they're flooded with calls). Our Members in the House are hearing from us three times a month. Again, with a flood of calls at the end of the month! After several months, they are going to realize that something's afoot here!
