Peace Film Fest
We invite you to hold a house party to view a film that explores the themes of conflict, violence, nonviolence and love in action. You may choose any film that will inspire you to act. We have compiled a list of suggested movies, both theatrical feature films and documentaries.
These films address issues such as war, social inequality and power. Some are local, some global in scope. Some are fictional, some factual. Some are personal, some political. All invite us to feel, think and act.
Some are widely available. For the documentaries, information is provided for ordering through various websites.

House Party Kits are being produced so you will have everything you need to organize a successful film screening with ease. We are taking orders for House Party Kits now and plan to ship them by early August.
Kits are available exclusively from NYDOP for $25 ea. Scholarships are available for all who cannot afford the $25. (contact us at peace@nyc-dop.com).
If you are able to make an additional contribution you can help offset the costs for those who need scholarship kits. Please use the button below to make your additional contribution.
Each kit will include:
- Films to choose from with synopsis and ordering information
- Discussion guides
- Packets of postcards for your guests to fill out and to send to decision-makers in Washington DC
- Self addressed fundraising envelopes for the NYDOP and the Peace Alliance along with guidedlines
- Posters to help advertise your event
