WHAT IS CHOOSE PEACE?
CHOOSE PEACE is a series of events sponsored by New Yorkers for a Department of Peace that will be hosted around the world, honoring the 11 Days of Global Unity from Sept. 11-21. The CHOOSE PEACE campaign will raise awareness and funds for the Department of Peace Campaign. 

CHOOSE PEACE will consist of a musical event the weekend before September 11, 2007. This will launch 11 days of a Global Peace Film Fest (in the form of house-parties - everyone can participate) between September 11 and 21 (the International Day of Peace). Participants will watch a film of their choice, host discussions, raise funds for the Department of Peace campaign and engage in postcard writing to decision-makers in Washington, DC.
